The IV edition of The Strait Natural Park Photography awards took place yesterday. This is a competition that encourages photographers to show their best pictures taken in this nature reserve of the Strait of Gibraltar. Yeray Seminario, from Birding the Strait, won two of the three categories: "Land Photography" and "The Park from the other side".
It’s a real pleasure for us to take part on the promotion of the Strait of Gibraltar through our images. We believe that this is an amazing and unique part of the world, and we will keep working hard, not only to offer the best experiences in the region to nature enthusiasts, but also to conserve its natural heritage.
This picture, taken from Sierra de la Plata at sunrise, won the "Land Photography" category. It shows our friend Miguel Gonzalez watching the mountain of San Bartolome, and beyond that the Riff mountains in Morocco. It’s one of our favorite places in the Strait of Gibraltar and holds a good number of bird specialties of the region.
